Grades are your association or CLASP ranking.  If you've never competed or your association has a different ranking system, choose what you feel appropriate. 

YOU CAN PLAY UP A GRADE within the Amateur grades, just register for the next higher grade (For example, if you are currently Grade 4, you can choose to play Grade 3.) If you want to play in your current grade and the next higher Amateur grade, just go through the REGISTRATION AND ENTER process twice.

REGISTRATION WILL BE LIMITED TO 50 ENTRIES!  REGISTER NOW!

Grade 4

  1. Play the Ground and First Variation of a Piobaireachd of your choice

          (Copy of the setting may be requested by judge prior to judging.)​​

Grade 3

  1. Play full Piobaireachd of your choice

         (Copy of the setting may be requested by judge prior to judging.)​​

Grade 2

  1. Play full Piobaireachd of your choice

         (Copy of the setting may be requested by judge prior to judging.)​​

Grade 1

  1. Play full Piobaireachd of your choice

Open/Professional

RULES

  1. Once you've paid/registered, you can submit your entry by filling out the form on the Register and Enter page above at any time up to the deadline of 20:00 PST on May 31, 2020. Judging will be completed and winners announced by June 13, 2020.

  2. Entries will be by video. All videos must be submitted via a YouTube link.

  3. Your YouTube link will be entered in the Entry form found on the ENTER Page (see button at bottom of payment page.)

    • Upload your video file to your YouTube account (Free to sign up.)  Copy the YouTube video link to enter in our form. All videos must be titled Redding Piobaireachd Competition Online.  All links must be set to the PUBLIC Visibility setting.

    • Put the Piobaireachd name and any setting information in the "Description" box.

    • Start the video by stating your name and event (ie. Angus McHaggis, Grade 1).

    • The video shall be unedited from stating your name/event to the end of the music. (Tuning is allowed but consideration should be made how effects video length/size)

  4. All entries must be played on the Great Highland Bagpipe

  5. If you are unfamiliar with how to upload a video to YouTube, please try it out prior to entering. A YouTube account is free to set up. A full piobaireachd takes a while to upload to YouTube! 

  6. The judge may contact you via email to request a copy of your setting. Failure to provide the setting/music may be grounds for disqualification. 

  7. No kilts or other Highland wear/uniforms are required.

  8. No refunds of entry fees.
